Vogue World 2026 celebrates Italian craftmanship in nation's fashion capital

A-list celebrities and the fashion world's biggest names have gathered in an ornate glass-topped galleria in the heart of Italy's fashion capital for this year's iteration of Vogue World. 

After landing in New York, Paris, Los Angeles and London, the global fashion celebration opened Milan Fashion Week in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the country's oldest active shopping arcade. 

The theme, Where the Future is Made by Hand, explored the city's fashion houses' commitment to centuries of craftsmanship and how that intersects with modern technology. 

In its fifth year, the event attracts attention for its theatrical runway show split into acts that usually incorporate performances and celebrities dressed in runway looks. 

This year's acts were: The Artisanal Revolution, The Industrial Revolution,  Made in Italy and The Age of Intelligence. 

Throughout the show, guests were treated to a visual spectacle of flashy costumes and couture, and several performances against the backdrop of the grand building.

But the most spectacular part of the show was in its final moments when thousands of tiny handmade paper dragonflies fell from the ceiling.
