China anuncia sua candidata para dirigir a OMS

A China indicou nesta quinta-feira (8) uma candidata para comandar a Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS), o que poderá ampliar a influência de Pequim sobre esse organismo internacional após a retirada dos Estados Unidos. 

A especialista em saúde materna Song Li foi indicada pela China para o alto cargo, disse a jornalistas Mao Ning, porta-voz do Ministério das Relações Exteriores. 

Song Li busca substituir o diretor-geral em fim de mandato, o etíope Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, cujo período termina em agosto de 2027 e que não pode concorrer a um terceiro mandato.
