The Assassin season 2 cast: Keeley Hawes and Freddie Highmore star

After it became a hit with viewers last year, Prime Video thriller series The Assassin is now back for season 2, picking up with Keeley Hawes's Julie and Freddie Highmore's Edward.

While the ending of season 1 suggested a more harmonious relationship for the assassin mother and her adoptive son, by the start of season 2 they are back to estrangement, as Edward finally ties the knot with Shalom Brune-Franklin's Kayla.

However, when Kayla is kidnapped there is only one person Edward can turn to, leading to another action-packed adventure for the bickering duo.

This season once again comes from writers Harry and Jack Williams, and also sees a return for Devon Terrell as Ezra. However, the bulk of the cast is new, including stars such as Natalia Tena who have joined the fray.
