Post Malone is busy getting work done, but he just popped up for air long enough to update fans on his progress.

In a Thursday (Oct. 15) Instagram post, the singer-rapper shared a selfie in front of a whiteboard with song names organized in color-coded marker and wrote, “Seasons greetings nerds… Almost done with this sumb—h!!”

“I’m sorry it’s taking so goddamn long… I can’t wait to share this piece of music with y’all,” Posty continued. “We are so proud of what we’ve made… a s–tload of songs coming!!! I promise next time it won’t take 3 years… I love you so very much. Remember you kick a–!!!!!”

The musician hasn’t released an album since 2024’s F-1 Trillion, which debuted atop the Billboard 200, marking his third No. 1 on the chart. Among the songs listed on the whiteboard behind him in his latest post include “Chrome Heartbreaker,” “Death of the Bow,” “Call You Back” and “Impossible,” all of which are written in black. A key at the top right corner notes that black signifies tracks that have finished lyrics and vocals, while the ones in red — “Doesn’t Exist,” “Memorize” “Rescue Me,” “Parachute,” “Track Me Down” and “Soulmate” — have been written but still need vocals.

It was already clear that Posty means business, as he previously delayed his Big Ass Tour with Jelly Roll by a few weeks in order to finish his next album, which is expected to be titled The Eternal Buzz. The star has spent the past few years exploring Western and country sounds, but he’s hinted that his next project might mark a return to his hip-hop roots.

“That one mofo that don’t know when to leave,” he wrote over a clip previewing a snippet of a song akin to the ones on his beerbongs & bentleys and Hollywood’s Bleeding albums.
