Translate

Rachel Kolisi and her Springbok WAG bestie, Layla Kolbe, had an emotional reunion at the former’s Falling Forward biography and documentary screening in Cape Town over the weekend.

The pals first paths when their partners, Siya Kolisi and Cheslin Kolbe, befriended each other at the Stormers more than a decade ago.

Both Siya and Cheslin have returned to the club this season after playing in clubs abroad and domestically.

RACHEL KOLISI AND LAYLA KOLBE REUNITE

On her Instagram account, Layla Kolbe revealed that she had attended Rachel Kolisi’s Falling Forward event in Cape Town over the weekend.

The Springbok WAG warmly embraced her friend in the post, which she captioned: “The stars finally aligned”

Layla praised Rachel’s woman-empowerment endeavour, adding: “So inspired and liberated by the rawness, the honesty and the power of women coming together. 🤍Proud of you, girl!”

In the comment section, Cheslin Kolbe also shared his love.

Despite going through a high-profile divorce, Rachel Kolisi has maintained a firm friendship with Layla, who was her bridesmaid at her 2016 wedding.

In April, Layla revealed that she would be reading Rachel’s book, Falling Forward, which explores her discovery of her post-divorce identity and her efforts to empower other women facing difficult life circumstances.

“Finally got my hands on it”, she captioned an Instagram Story.

CAPE TOWN CALLS

Meanwhile, Cheslin Kolbe joins his close pal, Siya Kolisi, who has also returned to the Stormers to be closer to his children.

The Bok captain is co-parenting his two children, Nick and Keziah, with his ex-wife, Rachel Kolisi, who is based in Cape Town.
