Released June 26 via his Catch & Release label, the song reaches the summit with a 19% increase in plays at the format in the Oct. 2-8 tracking week, according to Luminate.
“What a Life” follows “Favour” (with Tones and I), which became FISHER’s first Dance Airplay leader when it topped the June 6-dated chart, reigning for one week.
The Australian DJ and producer previously earned two No. 1s on Billboard’s (currently inactive) Dance Club Songs chart: “Losing It” in 2018 and “You Little Beauty” in 2019.
FISHER has logged eight total entries on the Dance Airplay chart (which began in 2003), including two additional top 10s: “Take It Off” with Aatig (No. 9 peak in 2023), and “Atmosphere” with Kita Alexander (No. 3, also in 2023).
FISHER first appeared on Billboard’s charts in 2018 with his breakthrough hit “Losing It.” The track debuted on Dance Club Songs in August that year, reaching No. 1, and on Dance Airplay that October, peaking at No. 11.
For Arman, “What a Life” marks both her first overall Billboard chart entry and first No. 1.
The song also rises 9-8 on the WARM Global Dance Radio chart after reaching No. 5 in September. The ranking aggregates plays from more than 200 dance-focused radio stations worldwide, reflecting songs trending globally across a network of programmers and radio gatekeepers in multiple territories.
