LTdL 2026: Shah Alam roads to close temporarily as race flags off at Bukit Jelutong

SHAH ALAM, Sept 26 — Several routes around Shah Alam will be temporarily closed to make way for the first stage of the Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2026 cycle race, which starts this Sunday (September 27).

Shah Alam District Police Chief ACP Sarudin Samah said the race will flag off at 11am from Radia Arena, Persiaran Tebar Layar, Bukit Jelutong, before passing through Persiaran Gerbang Utama, Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari, Jalan Paip, Jalan Bukit Cerakah, and continuing towards Jalan Sentosa (the Shah Alam-North Klang traffic border).

Following this, he said the affected roads will be fully closed starting 10.45am and reopened in stages within an hour later.

“The roads involved are Persiaran Gerbang Utama, Jalan Bazar U8/101, Persiaran Balairung Roundabout, Persiaran Mimbar, Jalan Serambi U8/21, Jalan Ubin U8/19, Jalan Birai U8/54, and Jalan Lelangit U8/45,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Also affected are the Guthrie Corridor Expressway, Jalan Sungai Buloh, Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari, Sunway Kayangan, Cahaya SPK, DASH Expressway, as well as the Perdana Heights and Sunway Alam Suria areas.

Sarudin said the closure also involve routes around Alam Budiman, Greenhills, Jalan Paip, along Jalan Bukit Cerakah, and the Jalan Sentosa route at the Shah Alam-North Klang traffic border.

In this regard, he urged road users to cooperate by complying with the instructions of officers on the ground and to always drive with caution.

“The public is advised to avoid passing through the affected areas if there is no urgent necessity, in order to reduce congestion and travel delays during the closure,” he said. — Bernama
