Puerto Princesa DRRMC warns fishermen, sailors on China's rocket launch on Saturday, October 10, 2026

The City of Puerto Princesa Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (DRRMC) has issued a advisory for fishermen and sailors on the scheduled rocket launch by China on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
The City DRRMC issued the an advisory on Tuesday on the launch of the Log March 12 Rocket by the People's Republic of China from the Hainan International Commercial Launch Center in Wenchang, Hainan, People’s Republic of China on October 10, 2026 (Saturday), from 3:20 a.m. to 3:49 a.m. Philippine Standard Time.
The information used by the Council, as seen in their social media post, is from the Philippine Space Agency or PhilSA.
The Council called on fishermen and sailors to be careful of possible debris falling into the ocean.
"Huwag Hawakan: Kung may makitang lumulutang o napadpad na debris, huwag itong lalapitan o hahawakan dahil maaari itong maglaman ng nakalalasong kemikal," the DRRMC said.
(Do Not Touch: If floating or stranded debris is seen, do not approach or touch it as it may contain toxic chemicals.)
"I-report Agad: Ipagbigay-alam agad ang anumang mamataang debris sa pinakamalapit na Coast Guard, Barangay, o sa CDRRMO/MDRRMO," it added.
