Whitney Leavitt to Star, Produce Her Own Hulu Reality Show

Translate

Whitney Leavitt isn’t saying goodbye to the unscripted genre, as the reality star is set to star and produce her own reality series for Hulu, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Leavitt and her husband Conner will executive produce via their Leavitt Media House.

Leavitt starred in the first five seasons of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, announcing her exit from the show this May. In the months since, she has teased that she might get her own solo series, confirming the news on Instagram Wednesday with a post full of screenshots of fans speculating that Leavitt might be tackling a new show.

“See you soon,” she wrote in a joint post with the Get Real Hulu account.

Last year, Leavitt competed on season 34 of Dancing With the Stars, which opened up the door for her record-setting turn on Broadway in Chicago. During both of those projects, she continued to film for Mormon Wives, and subsequently announced she was leaving the show after its fifth season earlier this spring.

She was also just announced as part of the upcoming cast of Peacock’s Emmy dominator The Traitors, extending her footprint in the reality TV genre. Leavitt will also make her feature film debut in the holiday rom-com All For Christmas, releasing on Netflix Nov. 24 (she will star and executive produce).

Leavitt’s husband Conner notably competed on season 35 of Dancing With the Stars, a hint that Disney was interested in extending the Leavitt family footprint.

When discussing the future of her career after a potential Mormon Wives exit, she told The Hollywood Reporter in March that she’d never close the door on doing reality TV as her career continues to expand.

“This is just the beginning. It feels like this is just the beginning of something that I’ve wanted to do and I’ve been trying to do for years,” she said of her career progression. “I couldn’t be more grateful. I feel like I’m just now on the ladder, and I’m just going to slowly start climbing it.”
