Marcello Hernández Had a Special Invite for Zendaya and Tom Holland at the 2026 Emmys
Marcello Hernández took a moment to shoot his shot with some A-listers in the room at the 2026 Emmy Awards on Monday night.
Before presenting the award for best directing for a comedy series (which went to Hiro Murai for Widow’s Bay), the Saturday Night Live star called out a few celebrities by name to invite them over to his house for dinner.
“It’s an honor for me to be here. It’s my first time at the Emmys, and I get to present, so I just wanna take this opportunity to say hi to a few people I might not be able to say hi to later. I don’t know what parties I’ve been invited to and I don’t know what parties you have been invited to, so just very quickly I would like to say hello to Harrison Ford,” Hernández began, as the camera panned to the Shrinking star who was nominated for best supporting actor in a comedy series.
Despite Ford appearing slightly confused at first, the comedian continued, “Hello! You are a legend, man, and a real inspiration to me. And I would like to invite you to have dinner at my house. No pressure.”
The next star on Hernández’s invitation list was Zendaya, who was nominated for best actress in a drama series for Euphoria, and her husband Tom Holland. “I wanna say hi to Zendaya! You’re a beast and you’re amazing, and I saw you and I wanted to play it cool and I’ve decided I can’t do that,” he said, as The Drama star laughed. “So I would like to invite you and Spider-Man to have dinner at my house.”
The Happy Gilmore 2 actor later took a moment to “say hello to Oscar Isaac,” who was nominated for best actor in a limited or anthology series or movie for Beef.
“Oscar, you were so good in Beef, man, and you are also a Hernández (that’s Isaac’s real last name) like I am, so we could be cousins; you never know. And I will see you at Christmas. I will cook you whatever you want,” Hernández said before giving his final hello to Matthew McConaughey, who also presented at the Emmys Monday night.
“When I was younger, my Cuban tía metiche, she said, ‘Marcello, if you’re working very hard, one day you can hang out with Matthew McConoverse.’ And I’m basically doing it, tía metiche,” he concluded.
