After five days of desperate searching, 14-year-old Allegra Styles of Gqeberha has been found safe and unharmed.
In a statement released by police spokesperson Sandra Janse van Rensburg, she confirmed that Allegra had been located in Middle Street, in North End, Gqeberha.
Janse van Rensburg said the investigation into the teen’s disappearance remains ongoing.
Given that the matter involves a minor and is of a sensitive nature, police said no further information would be released.
The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit confirmed on Tuesday that, in the course of its investigation, its officers were able to trace Allegra’s whereabouts, as well as those of 25-year-old Brent Naidoo, who has been named as her boyfriend.
When Allegra was reported missing, Naidoo came under investigators’ scrutiny because he had also seemingly disappeared.
The police had released a statement saying they were actively seeking Naidoo, stating he “may be able to assist the investigation with information about Allegra’s whereabouts”.
When the news of Allegra’s disappearance broke last week, it was stated that she had been last seen on the evening of 8 October 2026 at around 18:00, wearing a beige top and blue jeans.
A family member reported her missing two days later, on 10 October, telling police she had gone to a gathering in Kamma Park following an alleged altercation with Naidoo.
