Translate

Seven areas nationwide recorded air pollutant index (API) readings at the unhealthy level as of 10am today.

According to the Malaysian Air Pollutant Index Management System portal, three areas in Johor recorded the highest readings: Larkin and Pasir Gudang (both 154) and Batu Pahat (153).

Other areas with unhealthy readings included Johan Setia in Selangor (153), Cheras in Kuala Lumpur (152), Putrajaya (152) and Nilai in Negeri Sembilan (124).

Sixty other areas fell in the moderate category, while only one area – Langkawi, Kedah – recorded good air quality.

API readings of between 0 and 50 are categorised as good, 51 to 100 as moderate, 101 to 200 as unhealthy, 201 to 300 as very unhealthy, and 301 and above as hazardous.
