Napoli midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa was brought on in the 90th minute of Napoli’s 1-1 draw away against Fiorentina on Sunday, but that was long enough for him to suffer a new injury issue, Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed.
Allegri confirms new muscular issue for Anguissa
Anguissa had missed out on Napoli’s previous Serie A match against Bologna and their first Champions League match of the season against Arsenal earlier this month due to an adductor issue.

The Cameroon international returned to training just in time to be selected for Napoli’s Serie A match against Bologna on Sunday, but was only fit enough to start amongst the substitutes.
He was brought on for Stanislav Lobotka in the 90th minute, but in that time, he has suffered a new muscular issue, Allegri has confirmed.
“I wanted to bring Anguissa on, but I’m afraid he’s got a muscular strain again,” Allegri confirmed during his post-match press conference.

Napoli’s draw against Fiorentina on Sunday has lifted them up to 9th place in the Serie A standings. This is the Partenopei’s worst league start in eight years, although they have already faced Como and reigning Serie A champions Inter away from home.
