The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is a certified classic. At one point, you could argue that it was a cult classic, given its status directly compared to Ocarina of Time just two years earlier. But history has been kind to the sequel, as fans sing its praises for doing things differently from the rest of the series and providing a unique setting, sprinkled with horror elements. It truly is one of the most unique projects Nintendo has ever worked on, and it stands as one of the stylish Zelda games ever crafted. After confirmation on X, we know multiple free downloads for The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask are live, so make sure you gograb them.

Starting this week, two distinct free downloads are available on Switch: Majora's Mask Nintendo Switch Online icons, and digital card packs on Nintendo Today. If you have a Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership, you can claim the Majora's Mask icons now; each costs 10 Platinum Coins. These icons are available through October 22.

As NSO Icon Alerts points out, you can snag 50 Platinum Coins for playing Majora's Mask in the Nintendo Classics app, which is incredibly easy. Just boot up the game and see the logo; you don't need to beat the entire adventure to claim the points.

Since the Majora's Mask icons have been out of circulation for quite a while, it's worth checking them outin case there's one you really want. Nintendo has been cycling icons through the Nintendo Switch Online app constantly, typically promoting newer games.

That's definitely going to be the case with Ocarina of Time, since the remake is just around the corner, but it's rarer for titles that have no new releases to coincide with.

The other half of the free download equation is digital cards. Starting now, the Nintendo Today app is adding Majora's Mask trading cards, which you can pick up each day. On the app, fans can open digital booster packs containing one card each, then answer a quiz question about Zelda to earn tokens to buy more.

The goal is to collect every card in the collection before the Zelda movie airs next year, and it's significantly tougher this time around than the Mario Galaxy movie. There are tons of cards, so you'll need to log in pretty much daily to get them all. Wallpapers are also available on the app if you choose to buy them with the currency you earn from the quizzes.

If you're a Legend of Zelda fan, the Nintendo Today app is worth logging into. The digital cards don't do much, but there are plenty of characters to sift through, with neat factoids to boot.
