Betty Bayo’s Widower Tash Gets Emotional After Sky and Danny Surprise Him With Roses

Betty Bayo’s widower, Hiram “Tash” Gitau, was left emotional after his late wife’s children, Sky and Danny, surprised him with a bouquet of red roses and a heartfelt handwritten note thanking him for being a good father.

The touching moment was captured in a TikTok video shared by Tash’s friend Frank Mash on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

In the video, Tash is seen arriving at the entrance of his home before noticing the bouquet of flowers and a handwritten note that had been deliberately left for him.

He walked towards the surprise and knelt down to pick up the red roses and the small piece of paper carrying the message.

After admiring the flowers for a moment, Tash turned his attention to the note, which had been handwritten on a cut piece of paper and addressed to him as “Dad.”

In the note, Sky and Danny explained that they had spotted the flowers in a shop and decided to buy them specifically for Tash.

“Dad, I and Danny saw flowers in the shop and decided to buy them for you,” the note read.

The children then thanked Tash for the role he has continued to play in their lives while encouraging him to remain strong.

“Thank you for being a good dad. Stay strong. From Danny and Sky,” the message concluded.

The simple gesture appeared to touch Tash deeply.

After picking up the note, Tash turned towards the camera and shared the message with those watching.

“Wow, these kids. Have you seen what Danny and Sky have written me? Let me read for you,” he said.

He then read the note aloud, repeating the children’s words and reflecting on their thoughtful gesture.

“Dad, I and Danny saw flowers in the shop and decided to buy them for you. Thank you for being a good dad,” he read.

Tash appeared momentarily overwhelmed by the message and affectionately referred to the children once again.

“Wow, these kids,” he said.

He also admired the bouquet, commenting on the fragrance of the roses as he continued holding them.
