KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 2 — The Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) will extend its full cooperation to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in its investigation involving the agency and its subsidiary companies.

In a statement today, Felda said it fully respected the ongoing investigation process to ensure that it was carried out transparently, fairly and comprehensively.

“Felda does not compromise on any form of corruption, misappropriation, abuse of power or violation of the law that could undermine the interests of settlers and the institution,” it said.

Felda also called on all parties to respect the investigation process.

MACC Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman said today that the commission had opened six new investigation papers into allegations of misappropriation, abuse of power and corruption involving Felda and its subsidiary, Felda Investment Corporation Sdn Bhd (FIC).

Abd Halim said the investigations followed information received on Aug 24 concerning projects and investments undertaken by the management of Felda and FIC between 2010 and 2020. — Bernama
