EastEnders reveals new Ian and Elaine passion in Bonfire Night twist

EastEnders’ Ian Beale and Elaine Peacock share another passionate snog next week, when Bonfire Night bickering turns into friskiness for the unlikely lovers!

Until this point, the amorous pair have kept their friends-with-benefits situation on the downlow. But could this saucy smooch ignite the gossip mongers of Walford and turn their casual fling into something more serious?

"Ian and Elaine are no strangers to some heated rivalry!" says our EastEnders spy. "It all harks back to their fierce political campaigning which fuelled their attraction in the first place.

"Now there’s some friendly business competition instead, but still the same old chemistry!"

Ian might feel like some things in life have changed since he went to prison ­– but one thing’s for sure, Bonfire Night is still big business in the Square. When Ned uses his powers of persuasion to blag Ryder a job with Ian, Beale’s firework night is on.

The recently released ex-con hopes that this event will help him win back the public support he so desperately craves, but Ian’s worried when his big event falls apart at the seams...

"It’s not long before disaster strikes," notes our insider. "Ryder has some bargain fireworks, which pleases Ian. However, he soon realises they’re out of date and can’t be used. The last thing Ian needs is a family event becoming dangerous on his watch!"

Convinced the bonfire festivities are doomed, Ian threatens to call the whole event off, until he gets an idea to borrow some of Elaine’s fireworks.

The problem is, when Ian decides to speak to Elaine about the night, she misunderstands and thinks he’s asking her on a date. Embarrassed, Elaine saves face by refusing to give him any of her fireworks!

"If Ian and Elaine just communicated, they’d realise they want the same thing!" says our source. "As Ryder and Oscar team up to steal Elaine’s fireworks, Ian storms over there to confront her! The tension quickly hots up, and Ian can think of only one way to silence Elaine..."

Ian launches himself at Elaine and ends her furious tirade with a passionate kiss! But will these sparks turn into a full blaze and cement Ian and Elaine as a serious relationship? Or will they continue to dance around how they really feel for each other?

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
