New Kids on the Block have already established themselves as part of a new generation of Las Vegas legends with their yearlong New Kids on the Block: The Right Stuff residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM. But on Saturday (Oct. 10), they unlocked a new level of Sin City status when they invited a fellow Vegas icon to join them on stage.

According to a video posted by the group, member Donnie Wahlberg, 57, was singing as fans began to freak out at the sight of Osmonds legend Donny Osmond slowly walking up to the stage and putting his arm around Wahlberg. The Boston Blue star literally leaned into the moment, laying his head on Osmond’s shoulder as the two men smiled and soaked up the rapturous screams from the audience.

Consummate showman Osmond, 68, of course, had the perfect quip for the moment, saying, “two Donnies for the price of one” before the pair exchanged “I love you man” greetings. They then teamed up to sing a duet on the 1988 NKOTB ballad “I Need You” from their Hangin’ Tough album. “In true Vegas fashion, we welcomed the legendary @donnyosmond to the NKOTB stage last night! What a moment 🤍,” the band wrote of the surprise superstar summit.

In the comments, Wahlberg said, “Before there was Donnie, there was Donny!” The duet ended with the rest of the Kids joining the Dons for a jubilant spinning group hug. NKOTB weren’t the only ones loving the moment, as singer India.Arie weighed in in the comments, writing, “Donny Osmond is an A+ technical vocalist. i LOVE watching him execute,” with TLC’s Chilli adding, “Amazing 👏🏽.”

Wahlberg’s wife, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg was also loving it, commenting, “EPIC,” with the group calling it “a night we won’t forget!!”

NKOTB member Joey McIntyre gave some context for the team-up in the comments, explaining, “I got to see Donny’s show in Vegas last Tuesday – amazing by the way! We hung out after backstage and we decided there that he had to surprise everyone at our residency. And we all came together to make it happen. I was nervous that Donny wouldn’t make it in time- BECAUSE HE JUST FINISHED HIS SHOW and ran right over to ours.”

McIntyre said the men “hit it out of the park,” thanking Osmond for being “the most grounded legend we could ever hope for.”

Osmond headlined a Vegas residency with sister Marie from 2008-2019 and he has headlined his own residency at Harrah’s Showroom for five years, with dates slated through June 2027. NKOTB will wrap up their residency on Saturday (Oct. 17).
