Delhi Capitals secured the services of 15-year-old Uma Kashvi for her base price of Rs. 10 lakh at the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2027 auction in Kochi on Wednesday.
The right-arm spin-bowling all-rounder from Karnataka initially attracted no bids, but Delhi Capitals made a late move to sign the youngster for Rs. 10 lakh.
Kashvi featured in the recent India Under-19 versus Sri Lanka Under-19 series, taking four wickets in three T20 matches and two more in two one-day games.
Born on April 9, 2011, Kashvi entered the auction as the youngest player on the list. Delhi’s Anshu Nagar, born on January 26, 2011, is the other 15-year-old in the auction.
