Translate

Marcus Abraham has emerged as one of the stars of the Portugese top flight league after taking his goal count to four in six games with his brace yesterday against Rio Ave, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

The 26 year old who had two caps for Nigeria in 2021 under former coach Gernot Rohr was a target for so many teams, including Brazilian giants Vasco da Gama who saw a bid of €4m rejected by the modest Portugese side.

He has proved he is worth the interest with the manner which he has started this season, and it’s only a matter of time before another wave of interest will begin to flood in ahead of the January transfer window.

Abraham is also hoping for another chance with the senior national team of Nigeria, with his versatility in attack expected to play a huge role in the decision of head coach Eric Chelle.

Comfortable as a winger from either flanks or an attacking midfielder he has won the man of the match award in three of the six games he has played so far.
