Coleen Rooney confirms the "one rule" she had for filming new reality show The Real Rooneys

Ahead of the launch of their new reality docuseries The Real Rooneys, Coleen Rooney has revealed the "one rule" she had for taking part in it. The I'm A Celebrity runner-up appeared with husband Wayne on The One Show tonight (23 September), the eve of the programme's launch on Disney+.

The Real Rooneys - which comes two years after Disney+ released the three-part hit Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story - consists of ten episodes and is out tomorrow (Thursday, 24 September).

Speaking to Alex Jones and JB Gill, the couple were asked what exactly the cameras had access to, to which Wayne replied: “Everything, as you’ll see, how we live our life, is on it.

"There’s moments where I’ve had a night out for instance and I don’t get out of bed and Coleen is having a go at me… them moments I was thinking, 'I wish those cameras weren’t here…' We wouldn’t have done it if it wasn’t us, and relatable to everyone watching!”

Coleen clarified: "There was one rule we put in place in the beginning which was there could be days where the kids aren't up for it, and we’re not going to force them to do it. So you can come expecting us as a family but you might only get four of us, not all of us."

The synopsis for The Real Rooneys reveals that it tracks a "pivotal year" in the couple's life "as Wayne steps away from football management, swapping the touchline for school runs, while Coleen embraces the biggest opportunities of her career, including designing her own Primark range."

Explaining how these new chapters have affected their day-to-day lives, Coleen said on The One Show: “It was down to me [the school run], and if he was there, it was a bonus. It was because he’s worked, and he's lived away, so I used to plan out family life without Wayne in it, and then when he was back home, we let him come into our little bubble.

"But now, this time, we’ve got the perfect balance because as you see, we’ve worked through it, and we now know how it is to be a team together. It’s good. Life is good at the minute!”

Teasing one particular disagreement the couple has, Wayne said: "We hadn’t spoken to each other in four days… but I’ve got a way of making her laugh, I know how to make her laugh so by the end of the interview she was back towards me and it was fine.”
