Starring in one of the most unique boss fights in gaming history — seriously, reviving Kratos back into the fight? Genius — Thor made quite an impact in 2022's God of War Ragnarök. Played by the incredibly talented Ryan Hurst, Santa Monica Studio portrayed the God of Thunder a lot differently to previous media, and yet it is a depiction that is the most accurate when it comes to descriptions throughout Norse mythology tellings.
As such, Ragnarök's Thor is remembered vividly to this day, and despite it being unlikely that he will return in future entries, it is not all doom and gloom as the beloved God of Thunder is set to appear next year in a stunning new release.
Courtesy of Prime 1 Studio, Thor fans can commemorate his God of War Ragnarök appearance in an incredible, albeit expensive, upcoming collectible. When I say expensive, I am not being dramatic, as those interested will need to fork out $1,599.00. However, if you are feeling extra fancy, you can pre-order the Deluxe Bonus Version of the statue for an eye-watering $1,999.00, with this latter offer set to run out of stock very soon.
However, there is no denying that you will be paying for quality in both versions, with the God of Thunder being brought to life on a 1/3 scale. As the official item description for the Regular Version reads:
"This 1/3 scale statue brings to life the essence of Thor—a destroyer burdened by sorrow—through strikingly realistic sculpture. His piercing eyes, the scar trailing under one, and tattoos brimming with mystic power evoke his mythical presence. His bearded face, partially shadowed by disheveled hair, is meticulously crafted to capture a brooding expression. From the bulging torso atop layers of thick muscle to the powerful limbs shaped like tree trunks, every inch is carved with deep-set wrinkles and rugged skin textures that speak of a long and weary path. The leather armor and belts are adorned with traditional patterns, while the weathered metal embellishments have been painstakingly recreated. Even Mjölnir, the symbol of his wrath, combines a brutal silhouette with delicate detailing—a piece of both destruction and mystique."
The base itself will be decorated with ice from the frozen tundra of Ancient Scandinavia, and will see Thor rise from a stone statue of his father, Odin. "The custom base, where Huginn and Muninn take flight, evokes a frozen tundra. Behind Thor rises a stone statue of his father, Odin—a symbol of the crushing burden placed upon his back as a god of Asgard," the description continues. "The legendary god of thunder, realized through lifelike sculpting and intricate paintwork—this is a piece that carries the scent of Asgard into your collection space."
As well as the accompanying base, customers will also receive a fabric removable cloak, and LED light-up features including Mjölnir itself. However, if you choose to pre-order the Deluxe Bonus Version, you can expect:
- God of War: Ragnarök Themed Base
- Two (2) Swappable Heads (Serious, Angry)
- Three (3) Swappable Left Arms (Mjölnir Down, Raised, Recall)
- Fabric cloak (removable)
- Head Stand
- LED Light-Up Features (angry eyes, Left-arm Mjölnir, summoning effect)
- Display model of Mjölnir [BONUS PART]
If you choose to make the leap and pre-order either of these brand-new Thor statues, you can expect to receive it between November 2026 and February 2027, making for the perfect Christmas present for God of War: Ragnarök's biggest fans.
