Cyberpunk 2077 is heading to the big screen. Deadline reports that CD Projekt Red’s popular sci-fi video game franchise is being adapted into a live-action film by Paramount Pictures. There’s no details just yet on when the film might premiere. But Deadline says that Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who is known for producing the Transformers films, will be a producer on the movie.

“We’re excited about Paramount as a future partner who shares our creative ambitions for the Cyberpunk franchise,” says CD Projekt Red joint-CEO Michał Nowakowski. “We look forward to sharing more details at the appropriate time.”

Despite its rocky 2020 launch, Cyberpunk 2077 has gone on to become a huge success for CD Projekt Red, with the company recently announcing that the game has surpassed more than 40 million copies sold. The franchise has also been adapted into a hit Netflix anime, and a second season of that show is debuting later this month. A sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, which CD Projekt Red is calling “Cyberpunk 2,” is in development as well, with the studio reporting recently that the game has 184 people working on it.

The news of the Cyberpunk 2077 movie is arriving shortly after the completion of Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery’s megamerger under the Skydance name. Paramount is also working on a Call of Duty film for 2028 and the Street Fighter movie debuting on October 16th.

Update, October 8th: Added comment from CD Projekt Red’s joint CEO.
