PASIR MAS: A 35-year-old man is expected to face three charges at the Pasir Mas magistrate's court today after ramming a General Operations Force (GOF) vehicle during a police pursuit.

The suspect, dressed in lock-up attire, arrived at the court in a police truck at 8.50am.

He is expected to be charged under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 186 of the Penal Code.

The charges relate to dangerous driving, a drug-related offence and obstructing a public servant in the discharge of his duties, respectively.

On Oct 24, the suspect allegedly rammed a four-wheel-drive vehicle carrying four GOF personnel during a pursuit along Jalan Pekan Lama, Rantau Panjang.

The collision left a 41-year-old corporal with a fractured right arm, while the three other personnel escaped unhurt.

The suspect was arrested after the Toyota Camry he was driving became immobilised.
