According to PRO 1, coordinated operations were conducted across the four provinces of Region 1 as part of the police’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs and other criminal activities.

Brig. Gen. Jovencio Badua Jr., PRO 1 regional director, said the campaign against illegal drugs and criminality would remain a continuing effort.

“Our fight against illegal drugs and criminality is not a temporary effort but a continuing commitment to our communities. We will remain coordinated, proactive and determined in enforcing the law to ensure that there is no room for criminality in the Ilocos region,” Badua said in a statement. —  Kenneth P.
