A woman in her 20s has died after falling from a balcony at a licensed hotel on Hindley Street in Adelaide's CBD overnight.

SA Police said emergency services were called about 4:10am to the corner of Hindley and Morphett streets.

"SA Ambulance paramedics treated the woman, aged in her 20s, but she sadly died at the scene," SA police said in a statement.

"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death," police said.

Police said they were aware footage of the incident might have been captured by members of the public.

Anyone with relevant footage is urged to contact police.

"Police strongly urge people not to share any vision of the incident on social media or by any other means, out of respect for the woman and her family."

SafeWork SA said its investigators attended the scene this morning.

"SafeWork SA has attended due to initial reports surrounding the nature of the incident," a spokesperson said.

"We're unable to comment further at this stage as the agency is continuing to make enquiries."
