Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bowl first vs England

Sri Lanka had the option to switch up their XI and blood some fringe players in a dead rubber against England. But they have chosen to keep their best XI together after winning the toss in Lahore and choosing to field.

It was the seventh consecutive toss that Kusal Mendis has won since Sri Lanka arrived in Pakistan this month, and he has opted to bowl first on the past six occasions.

England have made a single change to the XI that lost in a low-scoring thriller against Pakistan on Sunday, bringing seamer Sonny Baker in for Jamie Overton. Overton has been among the wickets through the course of this tri-series, taking three wickets on Sunday, but has a minor quad injury.

It means that Adil Rashid remains on the sidelines for the third match in a row in this tri-series, with Liam Dawson preferred as England's frontline spinner.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka have already qualified for Saturday's tri-series final in Lahore, with England eliminated after three defeats out of three.

The weather is expected to remain good for the duration of the encounter.

Sri Lanka: 1 Kamindu Mendis, 2 Avishka Fernando, 3 Kusal Mendis (capt/wk), 4 Pavan Rathnayake, 5 Sahan Arachchige, 6 Janith Liyanage, 7 Dasun Shanaka, 8 Dunith Wellalage, 9 Eshan Malinga, 10 Asitha Fernando, 11 Dilshan Madushanka.

England: 1 Tom Banton, 2 Ben Duckett, 3 Joe Root, 4 Harry Brook (capt), 5 Jordan Cox (wk), 6 Will Jacks, 7 Sam Curran, 8 Liam Dawson, 9 Gus Atkinson 10 Henry Crocombe, 11 Sonny Baker.
