Last-minute iPhone Duo pre-order deals to grab before UK general sale: Contracts starting from £47 a month

The iPhone Duo became available for pre-order last Friday, bringing with it a whole new era for foldable phones.

The brand-new foldable is going on general sale on 23 October with a huge set of record-breaking specs – including being the company's thinnest and largest phone to date – so make sure you get any pre-order deals while they last.

When creating the device, Apple execs said they were determined to make sure it was smoother and sleeker than other foldables on the market.

Apple's CEO John Ternus told an audience at Apple's California headquarters: "Others have created foldables that just feel like two phones awkwardly stuck together." Apple's model, he claimed "redefines the experience of using a foldable phone".

He continued: "It's entirely new and at the same time remarkably familiar. A similar size to your passport, it feels familiar to hold and comfortable to use with one hand." Perhaps that's the reason for the £1,999 price tag...

Depending on storage, the new phone can go from just under £2,000 to £3,199, which is considerably more expensive than any previous iPhone. These days the average Brit is spending more on their phone upgrades. YouGov shows over 23% of buyers target handsets in the £751–£1,000 bracket, however, this is way beyond that.

What's the deal: Sky is offering one of the best deals on the iPhone Duo - £47 a month with a £12 upfront fee. This is less than Apple's pricing of £66 a month and extends across a 48-month contract.

The network is also offering 75GB data plans from £14 a month (down from £22).
