With this year celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda franchise, it is no wonder that fans are being bombarded with brand-new releases relating to the beloved Nintendo series.

It was back in February 1986 that The Legend of Zelda launched for the first time in Japan before swiftly making its way across the rest of the world. Since then, it has become a household name, and with 33 main titles under its belt, it is safe to say that its popularity has never dwindled.

Now, with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake expected to launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 this November, the hype surrounding the Nintendo franchise is building once more, which makes it the perfect time to get stuck into another brand-new release.

Another Genre For Zelda

Released back in 2023 as the sequel to Breath of the Wild, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was considered as the perfect ending to the Wilds saga. So much so, that our very own Cody Gravelle awarded it a 10/10 in his review here at Screen Rant.

While most complaints about Tears of the Kingdom will largely be seen as small ones, that's just the bar the game sets for itself. It may not be perfect, but it's every bit as absorbing as its predecessor, with a world that feels even more dizzying in its grandeur.

Whilst Tears of the Kingdom did offer a dazzling main quest, it is the side quests that captured the hearts of players, and this new release is guaranteed to remind fans of some of the game's most head-scratching puzzles.

In one side quest, players were tasked with helping Addison put up President Hudson signs across Hyrule. Now, this puzzle has been recreated as part of a real-world brain-teaser puzzle.
