Translate

The Ministry of Labor in Egypt aims to launch a new system for issuing work permits to foreigners through a fully integrated digital platform and dedicated service center.

This project comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to develop the foreign work permit services system and transition it to a fully digital model.

Minister of Labor, Hassan Raddad, received a delegation from the Tarabot Government Services Company, headed by Mohamed Abdel-Dayem, to follow up on the implementation steps and final preparations for launching the new system.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the project’s implementation status and the progress made in equipping the service center and the necessary infrastructure for the digital system, in preparation for launching services using the latest electronic systems, ensuring a faster and easier experience for beneficiaries.

The new system includes a unified electronic platform for managing the entire work permit lifecycle for foreigners, from company registration and accreditation through review and approval, to issuing the work permit and providing public verification mechanisms.

Integration

This aims to achieve integration between the various stages of the service within a single electronic system.

The Minister of Labor explained that launching this system comes under the ministry’s direction towards expanding digital transformation and developing government services provided to investors, business owners, and foreigners.

It also aims to reduce the time and effort required to complete procedures by unifying and simplifying service pathways and electronically linking them with relevant ministries and authorities.

The Minister of Labor explained through this new system, the ministry seeks to provide fast and efficient services in line with investor needs, to strengthen the investment climate, and to solidify digital governance in service delivery.

Expediting procedures while maintaining accuracy and adherence to legal regulations is one of the most important aspects of developing the work system, he added.

He further emphasized the importance of finalizing electronic linking and integration with all relevant ministries and entities involved in issuing work permits for foreigners.

This will ensure the smooth flow of data and procedures, reduce redundancies, and enable service completion through a unified and transparent electronic platform, he said.

The delegation from the Tarabot Government Services Company reviewed the progress made in developing the system, equipping the service center and infrastructure, and presented the implementation plan for the electronic platform and the mechanisms for integration and linking with relevant entities.

This comes in preparation for finalizing the procedures and launching the service.
