Translate

LEVITATION has unveiled the lineup for its inaugural Argentina edition, with Melvins, Osees, and Boris leading the bill alongside Frankie and the Witch Fingers and local psych-rock outfit Winona Riders.

The Argentine edition of the festival will take place January 20th, 2027 at C Complejo Art Media in Buenos Aires, marking LEVITATION’s first in the country. Tickets go on sale Friday, October 9th at 12:00 p.m. local time. The event is part of LEVITATION’s first South American run, which will also bring the Austin-born festival to Santiago, Chile on January 21st and São Paulo, Brazil on January 23rd.

The Brazilian edition, taking place at São Paulo’s Komplexo Tempo, will also feature Melvins, Osees, Boris, and Frankie and the Witch Fingers, while expanding the bill with four Brazilian acts: Test, Bike, Ema Stoned, and Bufo Borealis.

The festival originated in Austin in 2008 as Austin Psych Fest before adopting the LEVITATION name, building its identity around psychedelic rock while expanding into punk, metal, shoegaze, electronic music, and other corners of the alternative landscape.

Organizers behind the Brazilian edition have indicated that the South American expansion is intended as more than a one-off. Leandro Carbonato, who is coordinating LEVITATION’s arrival in the region alongside André Barcinski, told Brazil’s Agenda Metal in August that the goal is to establish a recurring South American circuit that allows bands to tour multiple countries around the festival.

Details for the Santiago edition, which takes place between the Buenos Aires and São Paulo stops on January 21st, have yet to be fully revealed.
