Olivia Vedder Steps Into Spotlight with Debut Solo Single “Show Me the Truth”: Stream

Translate

Olivia Vedder, daughter of Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder, has set out on her own with “Show Me the Truth,” her self-released solo single distributed by Thirty Tigers. Stream the track below.

The folk-pop track was co-written with Brian Fennell (aka SYML), whose production pushes her sing-song delivery to the forefront over stripped-back acoustic guitar and piano. Describing heartbreak, “Show Me the Truth” features melodramatic lyrics like, “I could die in your arms/ And I think that you knew/ If I’m wrong, play along, we could lie together.”

Pearl Jam fans may remember that Olivia contributed vocals to two songs on the soundtrack to Sean Penn’s 2021 film Flag Day: “My Father’s Daughter” and “There’s a Girl.” Eddie Vedder and Glen Hansard, who accompany her on “There’s a Girl,” co-wrote both tracks. The father-daughter duo went on to perform “My Father’s Daughter” together at his own Ohana Festival.

Vedder is set to open for SYML in early November at San Francisco’s Castro Theatre and a two-night run at The Bellwether in Los Angeles. Get tickets here (where fans can save $20 on their first order of $200 or more with promo code COS20 at checkout).
