‘Red Sonja’ Producer Christa Campbell Launches Film & TV Company XTA Media

Translate

EXCLUSIVE: LA-based producer-financier Christa Campbell has launched film, TV and media company XTA Media, which has seed funding from London and Denmark-based private investment firm Three Thousand Capital.

Campbell’s credits as a producer and exec producer include Hellboy, Rambo: Last Blood, The Iceman, Leatherface, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, Texas Chainsaw 3D, Tesla, Red Sonja, and the Oscar-nominated documentary Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom.

Until recently the former actress ran Campbell Grobman Films with Lati Grobman.

According to Campbell, the new company comes with a sizeable capital injection and will acquire IP, develop original and adapted material, finance productions, and produce content for film, TV and other media platforms.

Campbell’s upcoming projects include the new John Rambo film and the KISS biopic, Shout It Out Loud, set up at Lionsgate.

“I started XTA Media to build a company that owns its stories from the first idea to the final cut,” said Campbell. “Having this level of capital in place from day one lets us go after the projects we believe in, whether they’re big franchises or original voices, on our own terms. Three Thousand Capital understands both the creative and business sides of this industry, and they’re the right partner to build with.”

Since 2012, Three Thousand Capital has completed more than 100 direct private investments in entertainment, music, the platform economy and big tech. Early stage investments have included Uber, Airbnb, Shazam, SoundCloud, Duolingo, Spotify and X (Twitter). The firm is also developing a feature film in Scandinavia, slated for theatrical release in 2027.

“Christa has a rare track record of turning major IP into global hits while also championing films that matter, like Winter on Fire,” said Michael Peen of Three Thousand Capital. “We’ve spent more than a decade backing founders who reshape their industries, and XTA Media is exactly that kind of opportunity. We’re very excited about this new venture and proud to be a founding partner.”
