EXCLUSIVE: Aldis Hodge and Wunmi Mosaku are set to star in One Night Out for Amazon MGM Studios’ Orion Pictures. George Tillman Jr. will direct. The film will be available to stream on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

“I’ve wanted to work with Aldis and Wunmi for years. We’ve talked in the past about collaborating, but I’ve been looking for the right project for us to do together, and I’m very happy we found it in One Night Out,” said Tillman.

Nelson Greaves wrote the script with revisions by Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo. The film, based on a short story by Greaves, follows a married couple with marital issues who leave a babysitter at home with their three kids during a rare night out. When they see someone in their house on the nanny cam, the night goes horribly awry, and they must race home and work together to save their kids.

Tillman will produce along with Bob Teitel.

The project builds on already strong ties between Amazon and Hodge, who stars and executive produces the Prime Video drama series Cross. Based on the James Patterson novels, Season 1 amassed 40 million viewers globally in its first 20 days on the streamer. It recently was renewed for a third season.

Next up, Hodge will star opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in Road House 2 for Amazon MGM. Hodge recently starred in the indie film The Dutchman, which premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival.

Coming off her Oscar-nominated role in Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, Mosaku will next be seen in Aaron Sorkin’s The Social Reckoning alongside Jeremy Allen White, Jeremy Strong and Mikey Madison. The film will be released Friday via Sony.

Mosaku will also lead Idris Elba’s This Is How It Goes for Apple TV, and was recently featured in The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd, the prison-break thriller written and directed by Tim Blake Nelson taht premiered last month at the Toronto Film Festival.

Tillman’s past credits include The Hate U Give and Notorious.

Hodge is represented by Ziffren Brittenham and WME, Mosaku by Gersh and Principal Entertainment LA. KPE reps Tillman and Greaves.
