Ganiyu returns for Solid Miners test

Wasiu Ganiyu

Wasiu Ganiyu has resumed training with the Oluyole Warriors following a long injury layoff, handing the Ibadan club a timely lift ahead of their clash with the Solid Miners.

Ganiyu picked up the setback in a goalless draw against Kwara United in Ilorin last season, and it ruled him out for the remainder of the campaign. He managed only seven appearances for the Ibadan-based side in 2025/26.

The player trained alongside his colleagues in preparation for the matchday seven fixture against Nasarawa United, which is billed for the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, this weekend.

The hosts will hope his presence in the squad provides a fresh option as they look to bounce back from a 4-2 defeat away to Enyimba in midweek.
