Dozens of activists gathered outside OpenAI's developer conference at San Francisco's Fort Mason Center on Tuesday, marching, chanting and holding signs and banners.

Protesters called on the company to end contracts with the US military and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, while demanding greater regulation of artificial intelligence.

Activists also raised concerns about AI's impact on jobs, working conditions, climate and household costs. Inside the conference, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman unveiled new AI agents and announced a series of product updates.
