Relebohile Mofokeng is on fire, Orlando Pirates are you watching?

Former Orlando Pirates star Relebohile Mofokeng couldn’t have imagined a better start to the season. How is the Bafana Bafana star faring?
Mofokeng is on fire
Bafana Bafana playmaker Rele Mofokeng scored his third Belgian Pro League goal in his second start as Royale Union Saint-Gilloise beat Lommel SK 5-0 at the weekend. The 21-year-old former Orlando Pirates star doubled his side’s lead in the seventh minute, adding to earlier strikes against Westerlo and Sint-Truidense to send les unionistes top of the table.
Orlando Pirates had to sell
Scintillating form in the 2025-26 campaign earned Relebohile Mofokeng a move to Belgian Pro League side Union Saint-Gilloise. He followed Mohau Nkota and Mbekezeli Mbokazi out of the club, although Nkota has returned on loan after an underwhelming stint in Saudi Arabia. Mofokeng scored 10 goals and assisted eight times in 27 league outings last term. For Union SG, he scored the clinching penalty in a shootout win over Club Brugge in the Belgian Super Cup final in July. Bafana legend Shaun Bartlett expects Mofokeng’s stay in Belgium to be short. Another goal at the weekend reinforces how well he’s settled.
