Be more than an object of sexual desire – IK Ogbonna

Translate

Nollywood actor, IK Ogbonna, has advised colleagues who care so much about their physical appearance, to prioritise personal development, intelligence and good character.

In a post shared on his social media page, Saturday Beats notes that the actor urged them to work on themselves to the extent that their beauty and physical attractiveness would become the least interesting things about them.

He said, “Work on yourself to the point where your beauty and good looks are the least interesting things about you. Build your mind, develop your character, sharpen your intelligence, and increase your value.”

“Walk into a room and let people be more interested in what you bring to the table than how they can get their hands on your body. Be attractive, but be so much more than an object of sexual desire.”

The actor also noted that while physical attractiveness could draw attention, personal substance, character and intelligence were what earned lasting admiration and respect.

He urged people to ensure that their value and contributions spoke louder than their outward appearance.

“Let your presence command respect, your mind inspire admiration, and your value speak louder than your physical appearance. Beauty may get you noticed, but substance will make you unforgettable.”

Ogbonna further advised people to command respect through their presence and intellectual contributions rather than relying solely on their physical appearance or sexual appeal.
