The panel included series star Holly Hunter, along with Sandro Rosta, Bella Shepard, Karim Diané, Robert Picardo and co-showrunners and executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau.

It also was revealed that Bill Nighy (Living, About Time) and Rosemarie DeWitt (Untamed, The Staircase) will guest star in the upcoming season. Produced by CBS Studios in association with Alex Kurtzman’s Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy follows the adventures of a new class of Starfleet cadets as they come of age in one of the most legendary places in the galaxy. Under the watchful and demanding eyes of their instructors, they will discover what it takes to become Starfleet officers as they navigate blossoming friendships, explosive rivalries, first loves and a new enemy that threatens both the Academy and the Federation itself.

Season two of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy follows our cadets into their second year aboard the USS Athena. There, their ideals of leadership, friendship, romance and morality are put to the test as they navigate budding rivalries, shaky diplomatic negotiations, a fiercely competitive schoolwide tournament, and the arrival of a mysterious new cadet whose existence raises questions that could have consequences far beyond the classroom.
