Emmerdale fans are all asking Beth Cordingly one thing ahead of Joe Tate horror

Emmerdale actor Beth Cordingly is going to be front and centre of a major storyline next week, as her character Ruby Miligan is set to be buried alive by Joe Tate as an act of revenge for her involvement in Dawn Fletcher's death on his wedding day.

And according to Cordingly, the announcement of the story has got everyone asking her one specific thing.

On her Instagram, the actor shared a WhatsApp screenshot of her texting someone asking "When do I get buried alive?", noting that "people keep asking me".

"Sent this. Then realised it probably wasn't all that normal a question to ask", she wrote in the caption.

"Fortunately the person I sent it to won't blink either."

Monday's episode is the day of Dawn's funeral, and Kim and Graham Foster are concerned about Joe's erratic behaviour. But it's revealed that he isn't acting bizarre due to being overcome with grief, but because he's put his sinister plot into action.

Tuesday's episode sees Joe tell Caleb what he's done, only giving him the vaguest hints as to where she is, while Ruby is shown running out of oxygen...

Will Caleb be able to save her, or will Joe get his dark revenge?

Cordingly recently stated that Ruby "went too far", but added: "You can't worry about your character being liked, otherwise they become really bland... Soaps are built on feuding families, and you want to keep the characters fresh and evolving. And usually, people get their comeuppance…"

Meanwhile, Ned Porteous teased that Joe might end up clashing with Thea Ramsden now it's been revealed that she is Kim's biological daughter with a stake to the family fortune, and that she's out for revenge of her own.
