The U.S Open Is Near: Here’s How to Buy Affordable Tickets to the Tennis Tournament Online

Translate

The U.S. Open is nearly back in Queens, bringing two weeks of celebrity-packed stands and Honey Deuces to Flushing Meadows.

The 2026 U.S. Open returns to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center beginning with Fan Week on Aug. 23, before the main singles draw kicks off Sunday, Aug. 30. The tournament runs through Sept. 13, when the men’s singles final will close out the final Grand Slam of the year.

How to Buy Tickets to the 2026 U.S. Open

Individual tickets for the 2026 U.S. Open are on sale now through Ticketmaster, the tournament’s official ticketing partner. Fans can shop by date and session for matches at Arthur Ashe Stadium, Louis Armstrong Stadium and Grandstand, in addition to Grounds Admission tickets. Tickets are also available on resale sites such as Stubhub and Vivid Seats.

Arthur Ashe Stadium tickets are the best bet for fans hoping to catch the tournament’s biggest names. The reserved ticket guarantees a seat inside Ashe for its designated day or evening session, where the marquee matches are typically scheduled.

For a more freewheeling day at the Open, Grounds Admission offers first-come, first-served access to Louis Armstrong Stadium, Grandstand and the tournament’s field courts, though it does not include entry into Arthur Ashe Stadium. Grounds passes are available for daytime sessions from Aug. 30 through Sept. 8.

Fans can also purchase reserved tickets for Louis Armstrong Stadium and Grandstand. A reserved Grandstand ticket, for example, also allows access to the general-admission areas of Armstrong and the outside courts, subject to capacity.

Can You Go to the U.S. Open for Free?

Yes. U.S. Open Fan Week runs Aug. 23-29, when fans can enter the National Tennis Center grounds for free to watch qualifying matches, player practices and other events. New for 2026, adults need to register for a free Fan Access Pass before entering the grounds.

The Mixed Doubles Championship requires a separate ticket for its ticketed sessions, but a number of Fan Week activities remain free with the pass.

There’s another freebie later in the tournament: the National Tennis Center grounds will be free and open to the public during the day on Thursday, Sept. 10, though access to the ticketed matches inside Arthur Ashe still requires admission.

The women’s singles final takes place Saturday, Sept. 12, followed by the men’s final on Sunday, Sept. 13.
