MyJoyOnline.com has been named Marketing-Oriented Online News Portal of the Year for 2025 at the 37th Annual National Marketing Performance Awards organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG).

The award was presented at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra on Saturday, October 17, 2026, in recognition of the portal’s commitment to quality journalism, public service and impactful storytelling.

In its citation, CIMG commended the portal for delivering timely Ghanaian news and public-interest coverage to digital audiences.

“Myjoyonline.com has helped Multimedia Ghana Limited bring timely Ghanaian news and public-interest coverage to digital audiences,” the citation read.

It added that cross-platform publishing and audience measurement help the portal reach audiences through the channels they use daily.

CIMG singled out the portal’s coverage of critical national issues, including its Poisoned for Gold investigation, as an example of journalism that promotes public awareness and accountability.

“Through your 24-hour newsroom operations, responsive audience engagement, and compelling coverage of critical national issues, including Poisoned for Gold, you continue to strengthen public awareness, promote accountability, and advance national discourse,” the citation stated.

The institute also praised MyJoyOnline.com for amplifying the voices of underserved communities and recognising individuals whose contributions might otherwise go unnoticed.

It highlighted initiatives such as the Joy Impact Makers Awards, saying the portal’s commitment to community-centred journalism demonstrated the media’s potential to shape society and support positive change.

“Your sustained commitment to community-centred journalism and the recognition of unsung heroes exemplify the transformative power of the media in shaping society and driving positive change,” the citation read.

CIMG assessors also commended the portal’s approach to digital publishing, which combines news reporting, video and online engagement to serve different audience groups.

“Our assessors described the cross-platform publishing as impressive with news and everyday information speaking to varied audience segments. Its blend of reporting, video and online conversation demonstrates the value of a responsive news service,” the citation stated.

MyJoyOnline.com is the digital news platform of the Multimedia Group, providing news, analysis and multimedia content to audiences in Ghana and abroad.

Its induction into the CIMG Hall of Fame earlier in 2026, alongside the latest award, adds to its recognition within Ghana’s media and marketing industry.
