PM reviews economic reform agenda ahead of Egypt Forum 2026

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly on Saturday, October 17, 2026, reviewed the economic agenda for Egypt Forum 2026 and the country’s National Economic Transformation Program, aiming at building on previous reforms and strengthening sustainable and resilient growth.
Madbouly chaired a meeting attended by Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk and Planning and Economic Development Minister Ahmed Rostom to discuss the proposed economic sessions and working papers for the forum, which is being organized under President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s directives.
He said the sessions should present a comprehensive and transparent vision of the government’s future economic policies to citizens, the business community and the private sector, describing them as partners in production and development.
Discussions covered improving coordination between fiscal and monetary policies, expanding private-sector participation, enhancing the investment climate, and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurship.
The meeting also reviewed plans to maximize returns from public assets and infrastructure, alongside targets through 2030 to improve healthcare, education and housing services and strengthen social protection.
