13 huge EastEnders spoilers for next week (28 September to 1 October)

Next week on EastEnders, Denise reflects on her cancer journey as she contemplates whether to continue with treatment.

Meanwhile, Craig puts Amy under pressure, and Nicola races against time to save Harry's Barn. Will the family rally around her?

Elsewhere, Suki is suspicious about Ash's sudden return to Walford. Could their feud reignite?

1. Denise reflects on her cancer treatment

It's been an especially difficult few weeks for Denise, whose potential stem cell transplant donor still hasn't officially come forward for testing. Her half-brother Darnell could be a match, but Denise knows that his trauma around hospitals as a result of his late wife Louisa's illness and death has made him anxious.

To distract herself from her latest challenges, Denise plays matchmaker for Amy and Denzel in an effort to try and get the young exes back together. But Denise needs an outlet to talk about her feelings, and she reflects on her cancer treatment with Chelsea and Kim.

Later, Phil spends some time with Denise, encouraging her to speak to Jack about how she's feeling. However, Phil's advice could inadvertently have the opposite impact of his intentions, as Denise questions whether she should continue with treatment.

2. Amy has a difficult moment with Denise

The sadness within the Fox-Branning household also has an impact on Amy. Kim tries to distract her by asking her questions about her mysterious new boyfriend. However, their conversation is put on hold when Denise feels faint.

Later, Amy accuses Denise of shutting her out, leading to a disagreement. Meanwhile, Ash overhears Amy and Avani arguing and finds out about Denise's diagnosis. Ash takes some time with Denise, offering her personal support and reassurance.

3. Craig puts Amy under pressure

Amy's difficulties continue as a result of devious detective Craig's grooming and manipulation.

She agrees to visit him at his home, but his suggestion that they sleep together leaves her uncomfortable.

4. Craig manipulates Amy after losing his job

Craig soon steps up his efforts to control Amy, using his devastation at losing his job to draw her back in. He positions himself as a victim and tells her he's decided to leave Walford. How will Amy react?

Meanwhile, Jack tells fellow detective Callum the truth about what happened – Craig has been suspended because he's facing a gross misconduct allegation.

5. Could Jack and Amy make a breakthrough?

Things seem to be looking up for Amy as she makes amends with Denise. But Jack's emotional pain over Denise's increasingly serious illness pushes Amy back towards Craig, who sees another opportunity to manipulate her when she says that she'd like to take their relationship more slowly.

On a visit to the hospital, Jack and Amy have a heart-to-heart and clear the air. However, when he tries to find out more information about her boyfriend, she refuses to tell him and goes back to Craig.

6. Nicola has days to save Harry's Barn from closure

Nicola's in a stressful situation after learning that she has days to find £25,000 to save Harry's Barn from closure.

Gemma steps up to help her sister by offering the venue up for Nugget's 18th birthday celebrations. Meanwhile, Ned makes a timely discovery that could potentially help the family out – a former business partner of his happens to be visiting the UK...

7. Nicola's family rallies to help her

Things get even more serious for Nicola later in the week when bailiffs attend Harry's Barn. There's still a considerable amount of money to raise to meet the £25,000 target, so her family hastily comes up with ideas to make up the shortfall.

They launch a fundraiser, but Walford's residents are confused about the conflicting causes that it's supporting.

Nicola manages to save the event, but the family is still struggling to meet the money target. When Ryder turns up with lots of new customers, could there be hope on the horizon?

8. Harry and Ned take urgent action

Meanwhile, Ned takes a different approach to raising the money, asking Harry to accompany him at a meeting with his old business partner. Ned has no hesitation in turning up the pressure to get what he wants.

When Ned and Harry return, they're delighted to tell Nicola that they've managed to find the funding to keep Harry's Barn open. But Nicola speaks to Ned privately and tells him she's reluctant to accept his offer.

Nicola soon tells Harry that he must keep Ned's offer of money a secret, because the family has actually lost money on the fundraiser.

Later, Ned persists in his attempts to help and repeats his offer to Nicola. Will she accept?

9. Suki is suspicious about Ash's sudden return

Following Ash's sudden return to Albert Square, unsettled Suki is feeling suspicious. Ash has claimed to be back for just a few weeks to see Vinny and Penny's new baby, but is that her true motive?

Desperate for more information, Suki decides to reach out to Ash's fiancée Gigi. How will their conversation go?

10. Eve has a warning for Suki

As the family prepares for Nugget's birthday party, Suki tells Eve that she reached out to Gigi. Eve is cautious and warns Suki against pushing too hard for answers about what's really going on with Ash.

Nugget's delighted by his surprise party, but there's trouble later in the evening when Suki's questions lead to Ash realising the full extent of her mum's persistent prying.

11. Suki and Ash are at odds

With old family tensions resurfacing, Vinny and Penny try to urge Ash to make up with Suki, but she won't back down. The situation escalates further when Suki declines Ash's request to work at the surgery.

Later, Ash goes behind Suki's back and talks Nugget into giving her work – reminding him that now that he's turned 18, he's inherited the business. It isn't long before Ash shares the news with Suki...

12. Ash steps up during an emergency

Eve struggles to reduce the escalating tension between Suki and Ash, and there's another argument when Ash learns that Suki has been trying to talk Nugget out of his decision to hire her.

But a medical emergency brings their row to an abrupt halt. When word reaches the Panesar-Unwin household that Denise has collapsed, Ash acts quickly and decisively to help her.

Could Suki and Ash call a truce after this sobering situation?

13. Lily turns to Harvey for advice

Lily clashes with Jean over her desire to go to university, and she seeks advice from Harvey.

Later, Lily asks Harvey for further support as she prepares for a college interview. When Jean first finds out, she's not happy to learn that Harvey has been encouraging Lily.

However, Jean later backs down and makes amends.
