I’ll take politicians’ money if they’re good – Esther Nwachukwu

Actress, Esther Nwachukwu, aka Esther Sky, has said that she would accept money to campaign for politicians in the 2027 general elections if she considers them good candidates.

Speaking in an interview with Saturday Beats, she said, “If a politician offers me money, if it is a politician that does the right thing, someone that everybody knows is a good person, definitely I will take it. Nobody is above money.

“But, if it is a bad politician, who we know cannot take the country to a better place, I will not accept, no matter how broke I am, because the money that I will collect from a politician today will never be of help to my generation. What we need is a better Nigeria.”

She said her decision was informed by the need to protect the country’s future, especially considering the hardship many Nigerians were facing.

“I was born and brought up in Lagos. But, I won’t say I am Yoruba just because of that. It’s not all about tribal bigotry. I cannot eat my future for the sake of today’s peanuts,” she said.
