JoyNews gets results as listeners raise GH¢40,000 to help 17-year-old student with cerebral palsy attend SHS

Seventeen-year-old Priscilla Nana Ama Samson, a student living with cerebral palsy, has returned to senior high school after Ghanaians rallied to support her education.

Priscilla had feared she would be unable to resume school because her mother could not afford the items listed on her school prospectus.

Her situation was highlighted by JoyNews, prompting an overwhelming response from listeners and members of the public.

About GH¢40,000 has since been raised to help Priscilla meet her school-related needs and return to the classroom.

With the support, Priscilla has now resumed school and joined her peers as she begins a new chapter of her education.

Her return marks a significant change from the uncertainty she faced when the cost of basic school requirements threatened to keep her at home.

The support has also provided relief for her mother, who had been struggling to meet the financial demands of sending her daughter back to school.

For Priscilla, however, the immediate worry of whether she would be able to return to school has been replaced by the opportunity to continue her education alongside her peers.
