Big Brother's Omar announces major relationship update with Rhianna

Big Brother star Omar El Mayer revealed what might be next for him and Rhianna Collins. This year's series finally came to an end yesterday (5 November), and now, the former housemates have all reunited for Big Brother: The Reunion.
The series was full of big moments, one of which was Omar and Rihanna's relationship. The two formed a connection at the start of the show, which eventually led to a romance.
However, their relationship soon became controversial, leading Omar to receive the most Ofcom complaints of any civilian on the show due to his treatment of Rhianna.

ITV also responded to fan's complaints in a statement at the time, saying: "All Housemates receive Respect and Inclusion training and an extensive briefing from the Big Brother Senior team to prepare them for living in the House and to set out Big Brother’s expectations for appropriate behaviour and language," (read their full statement here).
Omar was also issued a warning by Big Brother about his behaviour on air, to which he said he "fully understood" and that he "did not walk in with any bad intentions or any malice and I didn't attempt to exercise anything malicious towards anyone".
Now, during Big Brother: The Reunion, Omar was asked a number of questions by host Will Best about any future plans regarding his relationship with Rhianna.
In response, Omar revealed that he would not rule out the possibility of having a future with Rihanna and they intend to speak after the reunion show airs.
The former contestant had previously reflected on the controversy surrounding the pair's relationship while on Big Brother: The Group Chat, saying: "We did have a lot of highs and lows, and at the end of the day, we are navigating a relationship on telly. I remember there was a point where I've sat down and thought, 'oh my days I'm in a relationship'.
"There were times we argued a lot, but there were also great times. I think at times where I was a bit nasty I didn't mean to be that way, that wasn't my intention.

"I feel like there was a lot of miscommunication between the both of us. I feel like there was times where I was trying to communicate something but it didn't come out the right way."
When asked by host Kate Lawlor what he had learnt from his public relationship, he responded by saying: "I think definitely being more open to understand, being more open to listen, and just really just giving everyone a chance and taking in everyone's point of view.
"At the end of the day, life isn't just one perspective. It isn't just my perspective in life. It's not only my world, the way I see it. I feel like I've definitely learned that I should probably listen more."
