George Russell won the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix for Mercedes, leading from pole position to the checkered flag for the first time in his Formula 1 career.
Max Verstappen finished second for Red Bull Racing, with returning teammate Isack Hadjar completing the podium in third after missing out on three races with a wrist injury sustained in training over the summer break. He had been cleared to race in Baku following simulator work and FIA medical checks.
This is Red Bull’s first double podium since the Saudi Arabia GP in 2024.

Charles Leclerc took fourth for Ferrari, ahead of Russell’s teammate Kimi Antonelli, who started 16th and finished fifth after a qualifying incident.
Lewis Hamilton followed to take sixth for Ferrari, Arvid Lindblad crossed to finish seventh for the Racing Bulls, Esteban Ocon finished eighth for Haas and Oliver Bearman took ninth place to secure a double points finish for Haas. Carlos Sainz rounded of the point scorers by coming in tenth for Williams.
