India’s top-ranked player Yuki Bhambri won his first doubles title of the year at the ATP 250 event in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on Sunday.
World No. 46 Yuki and his American partner Ryan Seggerman took down top-seeded Austrians Lucas Miedler and Neil Oberleitner 7-6(3), 6-7(1), [10-2] in the final which lasted an hour and 22 minutes. Seggerman, aged 27, is ranked 59th in the world.
The 34-year-old Yuki secured his fifth title on the ATP Tour, having previously won ATP 250 crowns in Mallorca in 2023, Gstaad and Munich in 2024, and the ATP 500 Dubai tournament in 2025.
It was his second ATP final of the season following a runner-up finish at the ATP 250 Geneva Open with Kiwi partner Michael Venus.
For Yuki, the title in Almaty comes after a tough campaign at the recent Asian Games where he could not win a medal in either men’s doubles or mixed doubles.
Yuki’s next event is the ATP 125 Challenger Tour event in Seoul where he is the top seed along side Chinese Taipei’s Ray Ho. They will face Australia’s Jesse Delaney and Calum Puttergill in the first round.
