The American League Championship Series is back in action tonight as the National League counterparts have a travel day. The Guardians are taking on the Rays, and Betr is offering new users promo code FOXNEWS to earn $200 in bonuses and Sweat-Free Picks.

Although the postseason has shifted over the years to being more about how teams use their bullpens, tonight sees two strong starting pitchers. Both will look to give their team a great start to provide some rest for the bullpen arms.

For the Guardians, they send out Parker Messick to the mound. Here are some stats about Messick from this year:

• 12-9 record in the regular season
• 2.56 ERA, good for 6th in the Majors
• 193 strikeouts in 186.1 innings of work
• 1.06 WHIP, good for 8th in the Majors
• Two postseason appearances, going 6.2 innings
• In those outings, he allowed four earned runs on six hits, six walks, and 11 strikeouts

The Rays are putting Freddy Peralta on the mound to battle Messick. He was acquired in a trade midseason:

• 10-11 record in the regular season
• 4.42 ERA, ranking 40th in the Majors
• 156 strikeouts in 169 innings pitched this year
• 1.33 WHIP, coming in at 37th overall
• Allowed just four earned runs over his last 32.2 innings (September and October)
• In one postseason start, he allowed one earned run in 4.2 innings.

Both teams are sending strong starters to the mound. The Rays are looking to even the series and the Guardians are looking to go up to a commanding 2-0 lead. Betr is allowing new users to earn $200 in bonuses and Sweat-Free picks when using promo code FOXNEWS.
